NJIT esports hosts a variety of recurring events across 14+ games, including but not limited to Smash tournaments, LAN events, and casual bi-weekly game nights!

General Information

NJIT currently supports 8 Division 1 teams and 5+ Division 2 teams. These teams are skill based and compete against other colleges for scholarship money. NJIT has 2,115 members on Discord.

Career Advancement

As many tech companies are invested in esports, participating in collegiate esports whether on the competitive or management sides gets students connected with many big names in the industry such as Corsair, Nvidia, Microsoft, Logitech, etc. These companies have initiatives that directly work with collegiate esports organizations and often times recruit within esports spaces. At NJIT esports, we work hard to connect members to the large network we have available to us. Computer/ Mechanical/ Electrical engineers find advantages with peripheral companies while Computer Science and IT majors (specifically with Game Dev specializations) can connect to developer jobs and game development jobs with ease as companies such as Blizzard and Riot love recruiting esports students.
